The Adelphla Gran Prix, scheduled on Sunday, April 22, 2001, is the first major event in New England. Located in Myles Standish State Park, the race draws a high quality field from around the Northeast. The race is sanctioned and licensed by USA Cycling. With Adelphia as a partner in this event, International Cycling is able to offer sponsors the marketing power of the nations second largest cable, digital cable, internet and long distance service provider.
As a presenting sponsor you will be a visible presence the day of the race and a major part of the overall promotion leading up to the event. Adelphia will be airing 200 - 30 second event advertising spots during the three weeks prior to the race on cable networks such as ESPN, ESPN 2, CNN, TNN, VH1, TV Guide Network and many more. The local Adelphia broadcasting area is from Rockland, MA to Falmouth, MA and reaches 50,000 households. This creates much excitement, bringing many spectators to the race. This type of advertising is a plus for companies seeking to expose your business to new customers on Boston's South Shore and Cape Cod. In addition, International Cycling will do a mailing to all USCF license holders in New England (this year it was 2500), advertise in the Ride Magazine, list the event in VeloNews, the Boston Globe and all local news papers, the start finish line area will have at least 200 feet of signage.
